The Concept:
Lost in Tran- generation
We live in a society consumed by technology, yet yearn for a simpler traditional form of communication. We wanted to show the emotions of feeling in-between two periods; the past and the future. To convey the nostalgia of the past, a 70’s inspired colour palette was used. Using yellow, green and orange tones to suggest the emotion of warmth and longing for a society, which was simpler.
Technology creates visual images via invisible patterns of electricity and magnetism. To show a connection to a heavily technological society, wires were used to show how humans stay in contact with one another. With the notion of wanting to break free to a simpler future, the wires act as a pulling mechanism for bringing the individual, back to the modern day society.
